Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School, where every student is valued, challenged, and inspired to succeed. Serving students in Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade, Lincoln is a large, traditional elementary school located in the heart of culturally diverse Long Beach.

With a rich history dating back to 1897, Lincoln Elementary is proud to be Long Beach's first graded school, originally established as Alamitos Avenue Grammar School. Our campus is conveniently located within walking distance of the Fire Department, MacArthur Park, and the Mark Twain Library.

At Lincoln, we provide a strong instructional program built on high expectations for academic achievement while ensuring that every student learns in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. We believe that all students have the ability to learn and succeed. Our dedicated teachers and support staff work collaboratively to provide the highest quality education and encourage students to become lifelong learners and responsible, contributing members of society.

Creating and maintaining a safe school environment is one of our highest priorities. Lincoln Elementary continuously reviews and strengthens its school safety practices to ensure students and staff feel secure every day. Key components of our School Safety Plan include:

• Promoting respect, inclusion, and cultural awareness through character education and programs that celebrate our diverse community.
• Requiring all visitors to sign in at the school office and wear visitor identification while on campus.
• Encouraging all staff members to promptly report unusual activity to help maintain a secure campus.
• Utilizing video surveillance to enhance campus safety.
• Focusing on a positive school culture and climate, including initiatives that promote strong student attendance, positive behavior, and student well-being.
