Lincoln Elementary is a large traditional elementary school that possesses a wealth of history, a dedicated teaching staff, and a marvelous, culturally diverse student body. This TK through fifth grade school is located in the central Long Beach area. It is Long Beach’s first graded school, established in 1897 as Alamitos Avenue Grammar School. It is within walking distance of the Fire Department, MacArthur Park, and Mark Twain Library. Lincoln Elementary School has won the honor of being named “Top School’s of LA County 2 years in a row” for both math and reading.
